The International Day of Peace

And indeed we 'met' in Arnhem on the International Day of Peace. This day was not as I expected but was never-the-less a most rewarding day, with many new contacts - and meetings with beautiful hearts.

Not many people in Arnhem were aware at all of the International Day of Peace. Just the fact that a couple of us were sitting there changed that. We made a difference.

The presence of Neeltje and Paul Hoftijzer was splendid as they drummed and led a Druid ritual for peace, sending, calling and confirming peace in all the Wind Directions. Later Monique Appels came and led some inspired spontaneous improvisation. She was followed by a Mantra Song group with musical support from Piet Groot. There was a different Elemental Peace Meditation led by Els Kooi in the evening. All together it was a splendid first effort. Insh'Allah this will be the first of many years International Peace Days in Arnhem, well that is my hope ; ) Here a couple of photo impressions.
